Olympics 2018: Hirscher and Kim joined the list of Olympic Champions Pyeongchang


On the 23rd Olympic games in Pyeongchang competed for sets of medals in Alpine skiing and snowboarding.

Austrian skier Marcel Hirscher confirmed their status as favourites in combination and won their debut Olympic gold. After racing down Hirscher took 12 th place with gap of 1.32 seconds from the German of Thomas Dressen, but in the slalom Marcel expected anyone left no chances ahead of the same Dressen nearly 4 seconds.

The representative of the Ukrainians in this discipline Ivan Kovbasiuk downhill took 57th place with an almost 5-second gap from the interim leader, but in the slalom made a mistake and was not able to finish.

In the halfpipe (snowboarding) with big advantage won by 17-year-old American Chloe Kim, who is still in training made it clear to competitors that the gold will not miss.
