Russian biathlete Anton Babikov declined speaking with journalists after the pursuit at the Olympic games in Pyeongchang. About it reports TASS.
According to the Agency, to avoid contact with the media, the Russians jumped the fence in the mixed zone — a special space in the stadium, where athletes give comments to the press.
After this, the athlete expressed Instagram: “When faced with such difficulties, there are only those who are truly important. We continue to fight, because you have to believe in his work. Than to write nasty words to me, good email to someone you like — use more.”
12 Feb Babikov took in the pursuit of the 40-th place, with four penalties on four lines. The gold was won by Frenchman Martin Fourcade. The second was the Swede Sebastian Samuelsson, the third — Germany’s Benedikt doll.
11 Feb Babikov took the 57th place in the sprint. The athlete commented on the speech and praised their speed.
The next start for the Russians should be the individual race, which will be held on February 15.
