The meeting between us Secretary of state Mike Pompeo and North Korean delegations did not take place at the initiative of the DPRK. This was stated by the U.S. permanent representative to the UN, Nikki Haley.
According to her, the DPRK representatives offered to reschedule for “some reason”.
“The Secretary of state Pompeo was ready for it. We remain open to negotiations and I do not think that in this case there was some serious problem,” said Haley.
The Poprad, the United States noted that, probably, the transfer of the negotiations was associated with the unwillingness of North Korea.
