Wizz Air was named the most popular routes this summer.
The most popular routes from Ukraine this summer were the directions from Kyiv to Budapest (Hungary), Memmingen, Dortmund, Frankfurt and Berlin-schönefeld (Germany); Warsaw (Poland) and Copenhagen (Denmark).
Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air in the summer season of 2018, from 1 June to 1 September, increased the passenger traffic from/to Ukraine in 2,5 times – up to 450 thousand passengers compared to the same period last year. This was reported by the press service of Wizz Air.
“During the summer period from 1 June to 1 September 2018 Wizz Air carried more than 450 thousand passengers on their Ukrainian low-cost routes, which is 145% growth compared to the same period last year. The most popular routes from Ukraine this summer were the directions from Kyiv to Budapest (Hungary), Memmingen, Dortmund, Frankfurt and Berlin-schönefeld (Germany); Warsaw (Poland) and Copenhagen (Denmark)”, – stated in the message.
The press service noted that Wizz Air now offers flights to 42 destinations in 12 countries from 3 Ukrainian airports in Kyiv, Lviv and Kharkiv, including the recently announced new destinations in Austria, Poland, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, UK and Germany.
At the moment the Ukrainian market is served by three A320 aircraft based in Kiev airport “Zhulyany”.
