Victory for Dutch photographer.
The contest Siena International Photography Awards 2018 attracts the attention of thousands of photographers from around the world. In this review, collected the photos, which were marked by the jury of the contest in the category “Monochrome”. First place was awarded to the runner who sent the Dutch photographer Marcel van Balken. Second place went to the picture of horse racing in Spain and the third duel zebras in Namibia.
1. “Runner”
1st place was awarded to the Dutch photographer Marcel van Balkanu (Marcel van Balken) for the running man at the Central station in Arnhem.
2. “Winning horse”
2nd place was taken by Spanish photographer Adolfo Henriques Calo (Calo Adolfo Enriquez), captured by Amateur racing in Monte Enxa (Spain).
3. “Duel”
Third in the category “Monochrome” was the Indian photographer Shalini Chetumal (Sonalini Khetrapal) with the match zebras in the Etosha national Park (Namibia).
4. “Rage of the ocean”
Honorable mention was awarded to the Swiss photographer Romain Torno (Romain Tornay) with heaving waves on the coast of Iceland.
5. “The Exodus of the Rohingya people”
Poignant picture with refugees from the ethnic Rohingya photographer Tanveer Hassan Rohan (Tanveer Hassan Rohan), from Bangladesh, was awarded honorable mention.
6. “I want to play”
Accolades for the received the photographer zarni Myo Win (Myo Zarni Win) from Myanmar, who captured a one-legged boy watching a game of football.
7. “Giant in the dark”
Great for the Savannah elephant in Chobe National Park (Botswana), Spanish photographer Mario Moreno (Mario Moreno) received accolades of the jury.
8. “Giant serenity”
Another the Spanish photographer Mario Moreno (Mario Moreno) was appreciated reviews – elephant in the National reserve Maasai Mara (Kenya).
9. “Humpback whale in monochrome”
Encouragement prize awarded by the Singapore photographer Wai HOU MOK (Wai Hoe Mok), depicting jumping out of the water the humpback whale.
10. “Cannonball”
Accolades received frame emerges on the surface of a humpback whale, taken by Japanese photographer Tony Wu (Tony Wu).
11. “Giants of ocean”
Honorable mention was awarded to the Norwegian photographer Audun of Rikardsen (Audun Rikardsen), depicting two playing humpback whales.
12. “Eyes and stripes”
Encouragement prize awarded by the Spanish photographer Mario Moreno (Mario Moreno) for the unusual “stripes” the Zebra.
13. “Walk 01”
The dynamic of the race Camarguaise created by Italian photographer Giuseppe Bernini (Bernini Giuseppe), was awarded runner-up prize.
14. “Out of darkness”
Encouragement prize awarded by the Spanish photographer Mario Moreno (Mario Moreno), depicting a white Rhino in monochrome.
15. “We – the Gypsies”
Italian photographer Pietro Di Giambattista (Pietro Di Giambattista) received honorable mention of the competition for the Roma, made through the glass of the bus.
16. “The shepherd”
Runner-up prize awarded to a Chinese photographer, Xiaoliang Dong (Dong Xiaolian), depicting a mounted herdsman at work.
17. “Giudecca”
For the one of the districts of Venice photographer Giulio Zanni (Giulio Zanni) from Macedonia received an encouraging prize in the competition.
18. “Rust and sweat”
Italian photographer Mauro De Bettio (Mauro De Bettio) awarded incentive award for the frame with workers in an urban slum in Bangladesh.
19. Diagonal
Dutch photographer Marcel van Balken (Marcel van Balken) in addition to the main prize and received honorable mention for a good picture of an airplane.
20. “Song of fishing light”
Runner-up prize of the competition awarded a Chinese photographer, Deva Ye (Ye Dewei), depicting the fishermen early in the morning.
21. “Desert elf”
Chinese photographer Lin Chen (Chen Lin) received an encouraging prize for the antelope to sand the top of the cliff.
22. “Basketball court”
Chinese photographer Xuejun Duan (Duan Xuezhong) received honorable mention of the contest for monochrome the sunlit basketball courts.
23. “On the other side”
Runner-up prize was awarded to French photographer Alla Sokolova (Sokolova Alla), depicting an elderly woman at the winter crossing.
24. “Faces in the window”
Hungarian photographer Istvan Carex (Istvan Kerekes) awarded incentive award for the children looking through the window with broken glass.
