The Ministry of environment has listed 22 cities of Russia with the highest level of air pollution. The list is published in the annual report “On the state and environmental protection of the Russian Federation” on the Ministry’s website, reports the Chronicle.info with reference on Jellyfish.
In a list compiled by the end of 2018, were cities located only in the Asian part of Russia: the Abakan, Angarsk, Barnaul, Bratsk, Zima, Irkutsk, Iskitim, Krasnoyarsk, Kyzyl, Lesosibirsk, Minusinsk, Novokuznetsk, Norilsk, Petrovsk-Zabaykal’skiy, Kostroma, Vologda, Ulan-Ude, Usolye-Sibirskoye, Cheremkhovo, Moscow, Chita, Novosibirsk. According to the Ministry, in total, these cities are home to 5.1 million Russians.
In the ranking of the most polluted cities first got the Abakan and Iskitim. Also for the first time since 2005 in the list returned Angarsk. Compared to the 2017 year of the rating dropped Chegdomyn and Magnitogorsk.
