German Chancellor Angela Merkel expressed her condolences to the family of the deceased in the attack at a supermarket in Hamburg. “I grieve for the victim of a brutal attack in Hamburg. I Express my deep condolences to his family. Wish a speedy recovery to the injured”, — said Merkel, adding that “a crime must be and will be investigated”.
According to Merkel, she is in close contact with interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere and mayor of Hamburg Olaf Holzem.
