The Ministry has been working for the withdrawal of unmanned vehicles on the roads in Russia, however, their actual appearance on the roads will not happen soon, told “Izvestia” Minister of industry and trade Denis Manturov.
According to Manturov, the Ministry is actively studying the issue of withdrawal of the drones on the road with the transport Ministry, interior Ministry and other agencies.
One of the working groups is developing a technology that will allow UAVs to navigate in traffic and move on a given route, taking into account changes of the situation on the roads.
“Now withdraw unmanned vehicles on public roads is dangerous,” – said the Minister.
Unmanned vehicles will have to undergo testing on a specially developed at the Institute and WE “smart track,” said Manturov.
“In the future will be machines with no human on Board. However, I think it will be more soon, because these changes require including and updating the mental perception of the world man. Yet to risk that we are not ready”, – the Minister added.
As reported “Vesti.Economics” in July at the meeting on the development of electric and unmanned vehicles with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev the head of Ministry of industry and trade said that the government may in the next year to increase the support of the manufacturers of unmanned aerial vehicles in Russia.
This year the government provides more than 600 million rubles of subsidies to Russian producers of vehicles with a remote and Autonomous control.
