Developers are tired of “stamp” on the place.
The founders of Riot Games Brandon Beck (Brandon Beck), and mark Merrill (Marc Merrill), gave the world the most popular MOBA-game League of Legends, released a statement in which he told about his plans for the near future.
“When we started Riot eleven years ago, then spent days (and nights!) just thinking about how to make the gameplay of League of Legends is so stunning as possible. With the growing success of the game, the company began to develop actively: once a modest team that could easily feed a dozen pizzas has grown to 2,500 employees in 20 offices around the world. But the rapid growth has led to the fact that we were forced to spend more time on managerial tasks and not creating awesome new content for players — which is what we love the most. It is time that we re-focused on what’s important — creating great games”, — the statement says Beck and Merrill.
Brandon and mark will depart from and return directly to game development. Operating activity will take the veterans of Riot Games: Gadaga Dylan (Dylan Jadeja) in the role of CFO, Scott Gelb (Gelb Scott) in the role of technical Director and Lauren Nicolo (Nicolo Laurent) as President.
“All three are real veterans of the Riot and consummate professionals shaping our vision, strategy and values for the past ten years. We are lucky to have such a great team of leaders, and we hope that together we will present you the new game from Riot Games, wrote mark and Brandon. We enjoy coming back to the front, anticipating the moment when finally will be able to tell you about our new ideas”.
