Space never ceases to amaze and impress.
Recently the space probe Juno is transmitted to Earth a new color pictures of Jupiter.
“The device is Juno completed its tenth high-speed journey around Jupiter on December 16. He is close to the gas giant and making a new photograph approximately every 53 days, and moves at a speed of 130,000 mph (209 000 km/h)”, – stated in the message.
The camera probe has worked with a range of 8 to 300 miles if the scale is 5.8 km per pixel. Weekend, black-and-white new images were processed in a special program called JunoCam.
NASA launched the Juno probe in 2011, almost five years, the probe has reached Jupiter. NASA expects that the Juno probe will remain in orbit around Jupiter for at least another few years and will transfer to the Ground new interesting shots.
Every 53 days Juno is approaching the planet and sending back her new photos.
As scientists assume, the satellite Europe.
The space Agency will destroy the probe cost a billion dollars, because this will prevent accidental dropping on Jupiter’s moon Europe.
Earlier it was reported that due to the probe Juno, it became known about a huge anticyclone, which is called the Great Red spot and goes into the atmosphere of Jupiter for 350 kilometers.
The discovery of the red Spot was done with the help of microwave radiometer MWR.
