A cyclist from Scotland, mark beaumont had set a new world record, having traveled around the world on a Bicycle for 79 days. 34-year-old athlete arrived in Paris one day before the deadline, breaking a total of 30 thousand kilometers. At the arc de Triomphe it was waited by crowd of admirers.

In 2008, beaumont has put a world record: he rode around the world in 194 days. Since then, however, this record was beaten by other cyclists: the last round-the-world journey lasted 123 days.

To break this record, beaumont was riding my bike for 16 hours a day, and he had to sleep only five hours a day. Every day the athlete has a passing average of 386 kilometers.

He began his journey on July 2 in Paris and traveled through Europe, Russia, Mongolia and China. Then he crossed the whole of Australia, New Zealand and North America, and then came to the finish line, which passed through Portugal, Spain and France.
