Children suffer from abuse.
The government of Japan passed a bill prohibiting the physical punishment of minors as a measure of their education.
Amendments made to the law on the prevention of ill-treatment of children. If the country’s Parliament will support the bill, to use physical violence against children prohibit parents, guardians, and social workers.
In February Prime Minister Shinzo Abe instructed within a month to deal with all cases of ill-treatment of children. This happened after the death of 10-year-old girl in Chiba, near Tokyo. She died in January after she was systematically beaten, deprived of food and kept in the cold. Now the girl’s father suspected of child abuse arrested.
In 2018 in Japan, according to police, the victims of ill-treatment of steel 1380 children, of whom 1095 had suffered physical violence, 226 sexual violence.
