In Ukraine in 2017, inflation accelerated compared with the previous year from 12.4% to 13.7%. On Tuesday, January 9, reported the State statistics service.
According to the published data, last year the average annual inflation (January-December to January-December of the previous year) increased to 14.4% from 13.9% a year earlier.
In the consumer market in December prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages grew by 1.5%. Most of all (by 7.1% and 6.8%) grew vegetables and eggs. 4.0-1.6 percent increase in prices for milk and dairy products, butter, lard, fruit, bread, beef, pasta. At the same time, 5.4, and 0.5% cheaper buckwheat, sugar, meat, poultry, fish and fish products.
Prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco increased by 0.6%.
The growth of prices (tariffs) for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 0.3% mainly due to the increase in the cost of maintenance and repair of housing by 1.1%, tariffs for heating by 0.9%. However, there was reduction in tariffs for water and sanitation 1.2%, hot water – by 0.1%.
