Passenger ferry “Mutirao” with 50 passengers on Board disappeared in the territorial waters of Kiribati in the Pacific ocean.
It involved rescuers from New Zealand and Fiji.
As it became known, the ferry took off on its voyage on 18 January and was to arrive at the destination on January 20.
While New Zealand authorities announced the disappearance of a vessel on January 26, and until this search takes only rescuers from Fiji.
Ferry “Mutirao” and made flights between the Islands of Oceania, and the last one was supposed to be around 240 kilometers. The ship is described as a wooden catamaran with a length of 17.5 meters, which supposedly had problems with the driving screw.
