A sentence of court Vladimir Morgunov was found guilty under the article “treason”.

In Russia the Rostov regional court sentenced the resident of the bordering with Ukraine village Chertkovo to 12 years in prison for treason, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to korrespondent.net.

“The verdict Vladimir Morgunov was found guilty under article “high treason”, he was sentenced to deprivation of liberty for a period of 12 years in a strict regime colony,” – said in court.

The verdict is not yet in force and may be appealed within ten days.

As said the Agency a source in law enforcement bodies, we are talking about “espionage” in favor of special services of Ukraine.

According to the FSB in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation, retired passed information to “foreign intelligence service”, meeting with him on the Ukrainian side.

It is alleged that foreign intelligence was interested in the situation in various spheres of economy, social and political life of the border Chortkiv district, as well as the deployment of military equipment.

Vladimir Morgunov was arrested in November last year. During the search he found ten boxes of phones, multiple SIM cards, and two passports on his name in Russia and Ukraine. During the investigation, Morgunov allegedly pleaded guilty.
