The sculpture was installed over 30 years ago.
In Alytus district of Lithuania was demolished monument to the Soviet soldier-liberator. According to media reports, now the monument will transfer to Grutas Park, where all the dismantled Soviet monuments.
The sculpture was installed over 30 years ago on the site of one of the first tank battles of the great Patriotic war.
Originally it symbolized the victory over fascism all the anti-Hitler coalition and consisted of two boulders: one was carved the face of the red army, on the other – French soldiers.
