The neighborhoods of Venice will raise the attractiveness of the region.
Tourists will be transported on the channels imported from Italy gondolas.
Dubai will build a “floating city”, which is based on the Italian city of Venice. The project will be located on the Islands, The World Islands, 4 km from the coast of the Emirate. Part of Dubai “Venice” will be under water. Tourists can get there by sea or air transport and to register for the “St. Mark’s square” (the square with the same name is located in Venice) under water. Guests will then be the channels to transport at places to stay in and imported from Italy gondolas. According to the publication Arabian Business, the project cost is estimated at 680 million dollars.
In addition to hotels and other places to stay within Dubai “Venice” will be located the site for the traditional Italian festivals, cultural exhibitions and events. Around the project called the Floating Venice will be grown 400 thousand square feet of sea corals and is located 12 floating beaches.
Construction will start in early 2018 and be completed in 2020. The project is designed for a service life of at least 100 years.
