The LGBT community at McMurdo, the largest settlement in Antarctica, plans to hold in June a gay pride parade.
The community made an announcement about the parade on the website Lonely Planet.
About the gay parade working at the research center of the US McMurdo station staff announced in April, photographed on the background of the rainbow flag.
Parade of representatives of sexual minorities will be carried out in the period when Antarctica comes the polar night.
It is reported that in the summer months, the station has up to 900 people or more, but in the winter there are 133 persons, among whom there are representatives of the LGBT community.
