Sales of the hybrid coupe will start in the second half of 2019.
Polestar, which was previously part of Volvo, and is now an independent automaker, continues testing pre-production prototypes of its first model hybrid coupe with an index of 1.
Tests are held on the ground Hällered Proving Ground, where cars are accelerated on wet pavement up to 220 kilometers per hour.
This stage of testing, which is within the company called a difficult term Electric Performance Hybrid GT designed to assess driveability of a hybrid. In this phase, the engineers carried out the final fine-tuning of steering control and calibration software of the control system of the thrust vector.
Polestar 1 hybrid coupe made its debut last fall. The car is built on “volvovsky” platform SPA with body panels from carbon. The machine is equipped with a hybrid power plant, consisting of a 2.0-liter “four” with a turbocharger and compressor, as well as two electric motors located on the rear axle. The total capacity of the units is 600 BHP and 1000 Nm of torque.
Sales of the hybrid coupe will start in the second half of 2019. The initial price – 155 thousand euros.
