Scientists using the Hubble space telescope got a picture of the galaxy NGC 5033, which is located at a distance of 40 million light years from Earth in the constellation Canes venatici. As reported on the website of the telescope, the size of a galaxy resembles the milky Way and extends on 100 thousand light years across.

However, NGC 5033 differs from our galaxy, without a Central bridge. Instead, in the center of galaxies is active galactic nucleus with a supermassive black hole. The presence of these cores allows to classify NGC 5033 as a Seyfert galaxy. As stress researchers, a supermassive black hole at the center of the galaxy absorbs the substance, which approaches her and emits at different wavelength.

Earlier it was reported that scientists have discovered the brightest supernova in the Universe. ASASSN-15lh is two times brighter than the previously recorded maximum for supernova, is thousands of times brighter than “normal” supernovae and 50 times brighter than our milky Way galaxy.
