Huawei will launch its service with maps

Huawei successfully negotiated with a company from the Netherlands.

Huawei in their smartphones will replace Google Maps, map data of another company. The negotiations were conducted with the Dutch firm TomTom, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to the Correspondent.

The Chinese company has made a deal some time ago, but this became known only now. The transaction value was not disclosed.

TomTom data are used in gadgets from China in different applications, the combined system Android.

According to the deal, the Chinese giant now has every right to launch its service Huawei Maps, which will be based on the TomTom maps.

Recall that Huawei has included in the sanctions list of the US and lost the right to use Google services on their devices.

We would add that TomTom is the provider of software and maps, as well as devices for the automotive and personal GPS-navigation.
