At the Detroit auto show to debut a prototype of the midsize sedan the Honda Insight the next generation.
The company Honda introduced the concept car Insight Prototype, designed to give you an idea of the new hybrid sedan, which will appear next year. Public premiere of the car will take place on 15 January at the Detroit auto show.
Honda Insight the next generation will take place in the line of the Japanese brand between models Accord and Civic. The main market for the sedan will be the US. European sales of the Insight are not yet scheduled.
The overall silhouette of the sedan resembles the outline of its predecessor. The front part of the body is made in a new aggressive corporate style of the Japanese brand with a large metal line on the entire width of the grille. Plus, the prototype was a fully digital instrument panel with a diagonal of seven inches, and 8-inch touch screen multimedia complex.
According to preliminary data, the new Honda Insight will be equipped with a hybrid power plant, which will include the 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo engine and an electric unit, powered by a block of lithium-ion batteries.
