The former U.S. Secretary of defense Chuck Hagel is a piece of advice for America’s next President, writes the Hill: get ready to work with Russia.
“One of the first items on the agenda of the new President, in my opinion, is the need to sit at the negotiating table with Vladimir Putin“, – expressed the opinion of Hagel.
“It can be disgusting – recognized American politician – but we are well aware that President Putin decides questions along the lines of “leader – leader”, “–explained the need for patience, the former head of the Pentagon.
The enormous pressure of economic sanctions did not stop Putin to increase his influence on the course of the war in Syria. Chuck Hagel still believes that because Russia is plagued by serious internal problems, she “will not be able to maintain the current situation“.
“But until that happens it is causing serious damage to our national interests, the interests of all countries of the world. And as long as at the level of leaders will start a dialogue about what each party and what it needs to do to continue a proxy war that we essentially see today in the middle East, in Syria, “–said Hagel.
