File Manager from Google has received not only a new design but a new name.
Google has released an update for its file Manager Files Go. Now the application will be referred to Files by Google. Changes were undergone also by its design.
This is stated in the official company blog.
So, the new version got v1.0.219550556.
Note that the changes concerned, first of all, the application interface is created on the new design language from Google called Material Design 2.
Previously this kind of (a lot of white and colored buttons) has, in particular, got Google Play Games, Google Chrome, Google Calendar and the web version of Gmail. By the way, the new interface fits perfectly into the design of the latest version of Android OS 9 Pie.
Also, the app has changed name – it is now officially called Google by Files or just Files. This is due to the fact that initially Files Go was created as a lightened version of the program for the Android platform Go. However, because of its popularity, Google has decided to develop the app as a full-fledged file Manager.
