The seventh stage, in spite of two categorical tops, not carried for sprinters no threat. The last participant departing the day (Stefan Küng), the core group caught just seven kilometers from the finish.

The overall leader remained Dumoulin Tom – tomorrow the Dutchman will defend his pink Jersey on the gravel ascent of the second category and the subsequent steep descent down to the finish of the stage.
