The agreement on the establishment of two flights was reached during a meeting of the head of Kharkiv regional state administration Yulia Svetlichnaya and President of the airline Ernest Airlines Shadi El Tannir.

“Another airline enters the Kharkiv aviation market. Final agreement with the General company’s President Ernest Airlines on the opening March of the following year the two directions of flights from Kharkov to Milan and Rome,” – said Svetlichny.

According to her, before the end of this year, the Kharkiv citizens will be able to fly directly to Vienna, London, Gdansk and Wroclaw. During the month corresponding to the direction from Kharkiv airport opens low-cost WizzAir.

“Passenger traffic at Kharkiv airport this year the plans will be more than 950 thousand passengers. This is 20% more than last year, and 60% more than in 2013,” – said Svetlichny.

According to the President of the airline Ernest Airlines Shadi El Tannir, the online sale of tickets for flights from Kharkov to Milan and Rome will start next week. The flights will be operated every Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Departure from Kharkiv and from Italy in the second half of the day.

“This will enable tourists to spend in these places this weekend. Full three days. Tickets cost from 45 euros one way,” added Shadi El Tannir.

As explained by General Director of international airport “Kharkiv” Vladimir Vasilchenko, this year flights to Milan from Kharkov was carried out by the company “UIA”. “But they are limited to the seasonal schedule and stopped in autumn this year. At the same time, the loading of the aircraft was very good for 3 months, it reached 85%. Besides, Ernest offers an earlier arrival time in Milan than “MAU”, so passengers will be more comfortable to reach the centre of the city,” – said Vasilchenko.
