The pilot of the Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel celebrated a double success at the Grand Prix of Canada in Montreal.
The third victory of the season was given to Vettel without any problems – German at the start of the race confidently defended the lead, quickly pulled away from his pursuers and was never allowed to fight for their position.
Vettel in Canada won 50th career victory and became the fourth driver in the history of Formula 1 after Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton and Alain Prost, who was subjected to this achievement. Along the way, Sebastian interrupted a 14-year-old series Ferrari hasn’t won in Montreal.
An added bonus for Vettel was the return to the first line in the individual competition. The German took advantage of the failure of Hamilton and led the championship with a lead of one point from the leader of a Mercedes.
Company Vettel on the podium of the Grand Prix of Canada was Valtteri Bottas and Max Verstappen.
