Petty-bourgeois court of Moscow has convicted two former top managers of the Bank of Moscow Alla Averin and Konstantin Salnikov in the case of waste more than one billion rubles, reports “Interfax”.

Salnikov held the position of senior trader Directorate of currency transactions, and Averin — the chief of Department of support of banking operations.

In the reasoning part of the verdict, the announcement of which began Tuesday, 9 February, stated that the defendants committed the crime as part of a group headed by former President and co-owner of the credit organization Andrey Borodin and his Deputy Dmitry Akulinin.

From the court’s decision follows that Averin was found guilty of complicity in embezzlement and Seals in the waste of money.

In the operative part of the verdict the court called the punishment for the defendants in the case.

In the debate of the parties state charge asked to sentence Averin to 6 years, and Salnikova to 7 years of imprisonment.

According to the investigation, controlled by the “Bank of Moscow” firms were fictitious contracts on purchase and sale of large quantities of currency. The resulting exchange difference remained in the accounts of companies.

The case against Borodin and Akulinin was opened in 2011. Their in absentia accused of embezzling money entrusted to them and the laundering of the damage in tens of billions of rubles.

Borodin also charged with issuing bogus loans to customers of the Bank.

The assessment of the Investigative Committee of Russia are the former heads of “Bank of Moscow” were transferred abroad not less than 50 billion rubles.

Borodin considers the criminal cases against themselves fabricated and politically motivated.
