Facebook приобрела новое необычное приложение Company Facebook bought the tbh app that is gaining popularity among American teenagers.

With it, Teens can anonymously ask and answer questions about their friends, and those subsequently receive the results of the survey as a compliment.

Unlike analog, tbh prohibits cyberbullying. To prevent bullying, issues resolved with a positive bias, for example: “Who better to call for a party” or “someone in the class the best smile?”

The novelty, which is mainly popular among pupils and students, came out of beta in August and has already shown very impressive growth. Over the past nine weeks the program has been downloaded over 5 million times, and the daily number of active users exceeded 2.5 million. Moreover, tbg led the free apps chart for three weeks.

Interestingly, Facebook chose to purchase, not copy the functions tbh, as it previously did with other “teenage” startups like Houseparty. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to the website TechCrunch, Facebook paid for the startup at least $100 million, so she does not have to obtain approval from regulatory authorities.

tbh will continue to exist under its own brand. His four co-founders will officially become employees of the company, Mark Zuckerberg, will move to Facebook’s office and will continue to develop the service with the support of the resources of the social network (development, spam protection, localization and moderation).
