Chicago is third in population city in the United States, where he lives 2.7 million people. Photographer Michael Salisbury (Michael Salisbury) in a series ChiMinusChi (“Chicago minus Chicago”) has submitted what it might look like a busy metropolis, if he left all residents. He was inspired by a project of the Japanese Masataka Nakano on the empty streets of Tokyo.
“These images show a surreal panorama of the city. Its empty streets and highways, you’ll never ever see in reality. This is not a post-Apocalypse or something like that, the photos crisp and calm mood — after all, we have a very different Association with one of the largest cities in the world,” explains Salisbury.
