This is an incredibly picturesque country.
A selection of photos of daily life in Thailand. Until 1939 and 1945-1948 Siam — state of South-East Asia, located in the southwestern part of the Indochina Peninsula and the Northern part of the Malay Peninsula.
It is bordered on the East by Cambodia and Laos, to the West by Myanmar and the South — with Malaysia. The name (the word “Thai” (ไทย) means “freedom” is quite justified: Thailand — the only country in Southeast Asia, to preserve the independence of European States, while all neighboring countries were colonies of France or Britain.
“Thailand” — the English version of the name of the country, introduced in 1939, means “the country of Thais”, the Thai version sounds as prathet Thai or Muang-Thai. According 2017 the population is 66 188 503 people, with an area of 513 120 km2.
