Chinese space station burned up in Earth’s atmosphere

Part of the unburned fragments fell into the Pacific ocean.

China conducted a controlled deorbit of the Earth, the space laboratory “Tiangong-2”. A small part of the wreckage of the machine that are not burned up in the atmosphere fell into the Pacific ocean, reports the online edition of the Chronicle.info with reference to zn.ua.

“The tiangong-2” consisted of two chambers, its length was 10 meters, and weighs over eight tons. It is considered the first space laboratory of China.

The device was launched into orbit of the planet in September 2016 and worked in space for almost three years, although the lifespan was two years. Thanks to the “Tiangong-2” Beijing conducted a series of experiments, in particular, have experienced technology refueling rocket fuel directly into orbit in addition, the laboratory took the manned spacecraft “Shenzhou-11” and cargo spacecraft “of Tanjo-1”.
