Китай намерен запустить к астероиду аппарат для исследованийChina invites experts from other countries to cooperate in this mission.

During the decade-long mission to a near earth asteroid in 2016 HO3 will launch a probe that will collect samples of a celestial body. After that, the spacecraft is scheduled to return to earth orbit where it will split in two. Capsule with the collected samples will return to Earth’s surface, and a separate module will approach the comet 133P and will be released on its orbit.

It should be noted that while no dates for the start of the mission was not released. Similar statements were made in the case of the lunar probe “Chang’e-6”: his start will depend on his predecessor, “Chang’e-5”, which will launch by the end of 2019. Last month representatives of the National center of space research of France announced that “Chang’e-6”, among other things, will be posted in French vehicles. It was originally planned that the probe will carry lunar samples during the second half of 2017, but the mission was postponed after the failed launch powerful rockets Long March 5 Y2 in July 2017.

China national space administration earlier this year announced plans for two more lunar missions, the final aim of which – the construction of a joint lunar research base. China has a lot of ambition in achieving the status of a space superpower. The country has made a huge step towards this goal when it became the first state to put the spacecraft “Chang’e-4” on the reverse side of the moon on 3 January this year.

During the event, which was announced plans for a mission to the asteroid, the Netherlands, Sweden and Germany who set up their tools on the machine were transferred to the data obtained from the lunar module “Chang’e-4”. Today China is spending more money on civil and military space programs than do Russia and Japan, yielding the superiority to the United States of America. Despite the fact that the budget for these programmes is opaque, in 2017 it was estimated by the Organisation for economic cooperation and development approximately $ 8.4 billion.
