Remember budget cell phones Nokia, whose sales on the background of smartphones tends to zero? At CES 2018, it became known about plans of the holding HMD Global revival of this trademark in the European Union. Cell phones Nokia Asha saw the light in 2011, but after a few years was discontinued due to low demand.

The series included a variety of form factors – all-in-ones with touch screen, digital keyboard and even with QWERTY, besides the planned release of the cot, but as of today, Asha gadgets are part of the story. Apparently, HMD Global intends to return the series to life this year, although it is not quite clear what is the meaning of this undertaking, even when the Nokia 3310 in Russia is estimated at 4,000 rubles, is exactly the same as a budget smartphone on Android.

Hardly users will exchange the ability to use the features of this OS on a classic cell phone. On the other hand, the geographical spread Asha can obtain strong constraints, there can be a third world country whose residents are not always able to afford even the most affordable smartphone. It is likely their first novelties of the series HMD Global show in February at the MWC show in Barcelona in 2018.
