The legendary Norwegian biathlete OLE Einar Bjoerndalen has not fulfilled the qualifying standard for the Olympic games in Pyeongchang.

To the seventh time to compete at the Olympics, Bjoerndalen in the first part of the season in the races of the world Cup had one day to get into the top 6 or twice to finish in the top 12. For 43-year-old veteran’s best season was the 18th place in the individual race in östersund.

Thus, Bjoerndalen has not fulfilled the criteria for selection for the Olympics and may be left out of the preliminary squad of the national team of Norway, which will be released next Monday, January 15.

“What I think about the Olympics? Ask coaches, I will not interfere in it. Understand that it is not performed as it should. I am glad that showed. Know able to add” – quoted Bjoerndalen NRK.

Sports Director of team Norway, Per-Arne Botnan did not rule out that the eight-time Olympic champion still go to Pyeongchang. The Norwegian biathlon Federation, despite the low results Bjoerndalen this season, the veteran does not reset from the accounts.
