Ukrainian biathlete Gasparin ELISA took second place in the pursuit race at the European Championships in ridnaun.
Varvynets in the status of champion sprint launched the first with 12 seconds advantage over nearest rival. It soon became apparent that the struggle for gold will go between a Ukrainian and a representative of France’s Chloe Chevalier.
Two women simultaneously without misses through the maturation, but the first construction Varvynets went to the penalty loop. Chevalier continued to shoot flawlessly and maintained a small separation from Irene.
The rest of Ukrainian women’s pursuit race at the European Championships failed.

Dmitry Pidruchny and Brendan started in the top 10 with good prospects for a medal, but simultaneously faced with problems when shooting. The Ukrainians earned four penalties and were unable to improve their sprint position.
Ruslan Tkalenko with seven penalties, regressed by 40-th position, Sergey Semenov with an eye on the mixed relay pursuit missed.
