Belarus to raise tariffs for the transit of Russian oil through the territory of the Republic. On this February 1 was announced by the Ministry of Antimonopoly regulation and trade (MARCH).
According to the decree, the previously existing tariffs for services of JSC “Gomeltransneft Druzhba and OAO Polotsktransneft Druzhba” oil transportation increased by 6.7 percent.
Previously, the transportation of oil via trunk pipelines of OJSC “Gomeltransneft Druzhba” on the route Unecha (High) — Adam Zastava cost 287,90 rubles per ton without VAT. Transportation of ton of oil on the route Unecha (Vysokoye) — Brody 123,66 cost of the ruble.
In Minsk had earlier said that Belarus this year will not buy from Russian energy.
In early 2016, Belarus has succeeded in reducing the price of Russian gas up to 73 USD per thousand cubic meters instead of $ 132. In response, Russia has cut supplies of duty-free oil to the Republic, and Belarus threatened to raise tariffs for transit of Russian oil from 50 per cent. In October 2016, the conflict was resolved – Belarus has abandoned those plans in exchange for the restoration of oil supplies from Russia, however, the tariffs on oil transit through Belarusian territory are agreed annually.
