Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree according to which is introduced an environmental tax on oil transit via the territory of Belarus. About it reports a press-service of the head of state.
— In order to create a source of funds for the mitigation of possible environmental impacts in case of accidents on the main oil pipeline or other contingencies related to the movement of oil and oil products through the territory of Belarus, to organizations transporting oil and oil products, established rate of the profit tax in the amount of 50%, — stated in the message.
In addition, recognized subject to taxation environmental tax transit transportation through the territory of Belarus of oil and oil products through main pipelines.
In 2018, the company “Gomeltransneft Druzhba” reached 60.4 million tons of oil, of which the 58.8 million tonnes of supplies from Russia.
