Scientists from the Austrian University of Graz have developed a robotic bee that can protect the living insects.

Roopkala will be able to explore and understand other bees, working with them, but their main task will be to help the flying insects to overcome negative factors.

Austrian researchers were able to give robots-insects quite realistic view that these bees do not drove them away and took to the hive. In addition, roopkala able to create their own ROI.

Control over the flying robots are expected to be carried out with the help of sensors that will monitor behavior and interaction of ordinary bees inside the hive.

The data obtained will be used in the development of new ways to protect the bees and to more deeply understand the ways of human interaction with the animal world.
