Chipmachine manufacturer ASML has completed the acquisition of the German company Berliner Glas. The transaction by the manufacturer of advanced optical components, such as lenses, was announced in mid-July.
The products of Berliner glas are useful in the further development of chip machines. Financial details about the deal have not been given, the company employs about 1,600 people.
The current management of Berliner Glas remains at its post and is complemented by managers from ASML. Contracts for the company’s customers and suppliers remain the same. ASML has worked with Berliner Glas in the past.
