The MacBook Air from Apple, and substantially changed the vector of development of all mobile computers, this year celebrates its first major anniversary. He was exactly 10 years, and its first generation was introduced by Steve jobs.

Presentation of the first MacBook Air was held in mid-January 2008, and then Apple surprised everyone by presenting a notebook so thin and light that all other models in comparison with him seemed huge and very heavy. In those days it was a breakthrough for laptops, and Intel even created a new class of “ultrabooks” that other manufacturers could produce competitive new products.

The original MacBook Air was relatively powerful for Apple in those times: he had 2 GB of RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo processor with two cores, the screen is 13.3 inch and hard drive capacity of 80 GB, and it cost a lot of money – almost 3,100 USD. So the high price was due to it thickness and weight – they were minimal, and bribed potential owners. In 2008, Apple launched the second generation MacBook Air with new processor and a more solid drive. Updating the model was discontinued in March 2015.
