According to the newspaper, a total of police officers shot and killed 492 people in six months, that is almost identical to the same indicator in the past two years.
As noted, the number shot by police of unarmed civilians during this period decreased. Nevertheless, it is expected that the number of people killed by police will exceed one thousand by the end of the year.
Most often the victims of police became armed white men. Almost a quarter of those killed are black males, although they represent only 6% of the total U.S. population, writes the Newspaper.ru.
