The fallen tree turned into a giant octopus.
Transform the ordinary snag in a charming octopus with a length of almost 4.5 meters managed Jeffrey Michael Samudosky, master of wood carving. Armed with a chainsaw and other tools, he enthusiastically took up the case.
Jeffrey Michael Samudosky (Jeffrey Michael Samudosky) is a well-known Carver, in the Internet you can find his work. His passion is to create realistic sculptures of gigantic proportions. And admittedly, it does it perfectly!
Jeffrey lives in Washington. The idea of this sculpture was born out of nowhere: the outlines of the branches of the fallen tree reminded the artist of a giant octopus… Just took six months to carve the sculpture. Its height at the highest part is more than two meters.
Master became interested in wood carving many years ago. Once he got into trouble – were injured after falling from snowboarding in 1998. Jeffrey eight months was bedridden, but all the while dreamed again to ride the mountains. When he was finally able to return to a favorite ski resort in Vermont, on the way saw numerous signs carved out of wood. In my head flashed the thought that he would have been able to be in a trade.
The first attempt was successful, and soon Geoffrey went into a new hobby head first. Now he can’t imagine life without this activity and about his work he even published a report on the Discovery channel.
