Combat helicopter Ka-52 “alligator”, which in September, during military exercises “West-2017” has made a missile strike at people on the ground in the Leningrad region, after the return to the airfield was party to another incident — because of an error in technique, the helicopter fired a shell at the warehouse, writes RBC.
According to sources, after the incident with unintentional blow to the audience, in which three people were injured, the helicopter crew returned to the airfield of Pushkin. Two hours later, when the pilots had already killed the engine and left the helicopter approached two technical experts to conduct post-flight inspection. First check whether the helicopter damage, and the second was responsible for the maintenance of boekomplekt.
“He turned the helicopter so that the gun was aimed in a safe direction, and then removed the cover behind which is a gun. The second technician had to open the shutter and “to produce the descent control”, but forgot to check the shutter and immediately pressed the button of the electric trigger.
“If everything was done according to instructions, the projectile would simply fall beside the car, and then he was left in the barrel. In the end there was a shot, which hit the storage room,” — said the interlocutor of RBC. When you hit 30-mm projectile in the warehouse one wall was partially destroyed; no one was hurt.
