After the sentencing of the former Minister of economic development Alexei Ulyukayev, in a court case which featured a gift “basket with sausage”, officials in the New year’s eve began to shy away from any kind of gifts, in addition to the postcards, writes the Bell, citing sources.
Employees of ministries and state corporations refuse to accept the donation of calendars, not to mention the baskets with food, wine or simply with flowers. According to them, they fear and diaries – all of a sudden this notebook costs 20 thousand rubles, then it will face a scandal and dismissal.
In the companies, in turn, are now forced to wrestle with how to endow officials, if they are afraid. For example, an employee of one of the industrial companies complained that last year they gave books and calendars, now, these gift sets are already banned.
The newspaper’s sources say that officials look at the matter not only speaker, but the former Governor of Kirov region Nikita Belykh: the bribe, which he, according to investigators, took, was also wrapped in a gift bag.
Note that officially, the Russian officials allowed to accept gifts worth no more than three thousand rubles – the decree was signed in 2014, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. And everything is more expensive, is recognized by the Federal property and should be handed over, either a public servant may redeem it at their own expense.

On 15 December the Zamoskvoretsky court of Moscow sentenced Alexei Ulyukayev, to eight years in colony of strict regime. He was convicted of receiving a bribe in the amount of two million dollars. According to investigators, in November 2016, Ulyukayev at the office of “Rosneft” received from the head of the company Igor Sechin with a bag of money. From the conversation, the transcript of which was presented in court, indicated that Sechin also instructed his subordinates to bring “a basket of sausage,” which as a gift was going to give Ulyukayev.
