Russian mobile app FaceApp, which is actively used by the Americans, could pose a threat to U.S. national security, says Chuck Schumer.
The leader of the Democrats in the U.S. Senate Chuck Schumer called on the Federal Bureau of investigation (FBI) and Federal trade Commission (FTC) to perform popular app for smartphones FaceApp developed by the Russian company Wireless Lab and assess the associated risks.
The @FBI & @FTC must look into the national security & privacy risks now

It’s owned by a Russia-based company
And users are required to provide a full, irrevocable access to their personal photos & data pic.twitter.com/cejLLwBQcr
