15 January, Prime Minister of Romania Mihai Tudose resigned after his words about the intention to deal with the Hungarian separatists.
Tudose noted that to perform the duties of the Prime Minister Tuesday will be the Deputy Prime Minister Paul Stenesku.
The Prime Minister’s statement came after the national Executive Committee of the ruling Romanian Social democratic party voted Monday at a special meeting for the deprivation of his political support.
We will remind, the scandal around Tudose started when he said that “if sekelsky flag will hang on the institutions of the region, all of them (székely) will hang next to the flag.”
Székely is one of a group of Hungarians who live in Romania. In response, Hungary withdrew its Ambassador from Bucharest and declared that Tudose threatened “death penalty ethnic community.”
